We value our customers and strive to be fair and transparent. Please review the following policies regarding returns, refunds, and class registrations.
We reserve the right to change or update our refund and cancellation policies at any time. The latest policy date will be reflected in the Effective Date above and would apply to purchases or registrations from the new Effective Date and beyond.
Refund Policy for Retail Purchases (Tools & Supplies)
Returns & Exchanges
Returns for tools or non-consumable supplies purchased in the shop must be made within 30 days of purchase.
Items must be unused and in original condition.
Proof of purchase is required.
Non-Returnable Items
Unless merchandise is clearly defective, the following items are not eligible for return or refund:
Consumable supplies, including but not limited to:
Glass powders/particles (“frit”)
Glue, adhesives, or chemicals
Any materials intended for single or limited use
Opened and partially used glass items (e.g., confetti, stringers, etc.)
Refund Policy for Glass Sheets & Glass Art
Glass sheets (any size) or glass art purchased in good condition are non-refundable once broken after leaving the store.
Proper care must be taken during transport from the store to the customer’s destination.
Red Swan Glass Art Center is not responsible for breakage once items leave the store, including breakage during customer transport.
Customers are encouraged to ask for guidance on safe transport of glass items at the time of purchase.
Refund & Cancellation Policy for Classes & Workshop
Full Refunds (21 Days or More Before Class)
Full refunds for class registrations are available up to 21 days prior to the class start date.
Partial Refunds (20 Days or Less Before Class)
For registrations canceled within 20 days of the class start date, refunds will be issued minus 50% of the registration fee.
Classes That Fill from the Waitlist
If a class reaches maximum capacity (10 students) after a cancellation, the original registrant will receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.
Student Illness, Early Departure, Non-Attendance, or Improper Attire
No refunds will be issued for students who become ill during a class, leave early, or fail to attend one or more sessions of a multi-day class.
Information on proper attire for class is provided multiple time prior to class. If a student fails to wear proper attire as outlined, student will not be allowed to participate in class and no refund will be issued.
These circumstances are beyond the control of the studio and do not qualify for refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements once the class has begun.
Gifting a Class Registration
If a registered student is unable to attend a class, the registration may be gifted to another individual under the following conditions:
The new participant must meet all class qualifications (e.g., age requirements, skill level, parent/guardian attendance if required).
The new participant must complete their own registration.
A coupon code will be provided to waive the class registration fee for the new student.
Any reimbursement between the original student and the gifted individual is handled privately between those parties.
The new student is responsible for any in-class material fees, if applicable.
Studio Cancellations & Force Majeure
Red Swan Glass Art Center reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify classes, workshops, events, or services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather or natural disasters
Power outages
Instructor illness or emergency
Facility issues or safety concerns
Government orders or public health emergencies
In such cases, registered students will be offered one of the following options, at our discretion:
Transfer of registration to a rescheduled date
Studio credit toward a future class or workshop
A full refund of the class registration fee
Red Swan Glass Art Center is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, lodging, childcare, or personal expenses related to a canceled or rescheduled class.
